Christmas Eve

Merry Belated Christmas!!  We had a very busy Christmas and there were lots of pictures taken, so we're going to start with Christmas Eve.  We went to Grandma and Grandpa's after Mommy came home from work.  We had to nap first, and then we had some juice.  I got to sit with Grandma and watch her put together the cheese and salami plate.

Jacob likes to sit on the chairs by himself, but I'm not sure why he was drinking from his cup this way.

Then I played  with Uncle Sean who gave me lots of chips with clam dip to eat.

Then Mommy says it's tradition to get pictures taken in front of the tree before we unwrap presents.  This is where we were supposed to sit.

I did fine on my own, but Jacob never managed to get in his seat while I was there.

So I took a picture with Mommy,

and played with the tree lights.

Then came the group shots.  First up, our family.

Then us with Grandma and Grandpa.

Then us with Uncle Sean!

Then Grandma and Grandpa made us leave the room and they even shut the doors. We tried to get back in but nothing we tried worked.

But after a very long 4 minutes they let us back in and in front of the tree was our new tricycles!!  And they have license plates on the back!  We hopped on them and took off.  Our legs are a little short, but we make it work.  Grandma says she's going to do something to fix that.

Then we opened presents.  We got lots of new toys, puzzles, and clothes.

Then it was back to the bikes again!

The adults had crab for dinner.  The cracking of the crab looks like fun, but we got to have chili and hot dogs instead.  After we ate, you know, 10 minutes later, I decided to see if I could sit with Grandma and help crack the crab.  Then Jacob came over to try too.  Poor Grandma had both of us on her lap and was trying to eat her dinner.  (Between you and me, I think she liked it!)

After dinner, Daddy and Uncle Sean put together one of our new toys.  A set of tunnels, playhouse and a tent!  We spent a lot of time going through the tunnels!

Some of the bigger kids liked the new toys too!

We didn't mind that Daddy was in the house, but we got mad when his legs were in tunnel and we couldn't get through!

After all that, we had to get ready for bed and have our milk so we could go home so Santa cold come!

Decorating Our Tree

We decorated our tree a few weeks ago, but we've been busy with holiday parties and have ignored the blog, sorry.  But with Christmas 3 days away, there should be some good photos to come!  And Mommy says she should have some time on her hands to get more organized soon.

Uncle Sean came over to help which is always fun.  Anyways, after dinner we started unpacking the decorations. We played with the lights since we had to make sure they were up to our standards.  We know how to turn them on and it's the first thing we do when we wake up, well, me at least, since I never let Alex turn on the lights.

I was hanging an ornament, but Mommy thinks I look like I'm hanging the lights and that I look studious.  Silly Mommy!

Can you see where Alex is while the rest of us are trying to hang ornaments?

He wanted to get the farm down!  Probably figured since I was busy, I wouldn't try to take it from him!  He does like to climb though, Mommy says he's going to be the one to take risks.

Once we were done decorating, we played with the box!  That's the best part!

Bye!

Tree Day

It's been a little while, but we got our Christmas tree!  We got up and went and got doughnuts and drove thru Starbucks and off to Grandma and Grandpas's we went!  Grandma had our cereal and applesauce ready for us for our breakfast, but once we saw the doughnuts, that's what we wanted!  Mommy still tried to have us eat the healthier stuff, but gave and figured we'd be eating better later.

I had a mouth full already when Mommy took this picture.

Then we had to get dressed.  We went with Mommy all over town just to try and get a Christmas shirt, but we ended up getting them at Old Navy.  They say Naughty is the new Nice.  And she had to try to get pictures of us before we left.  Gotta give her credit for trying!

Then it was off to the tree farm!!  We got there before everybody, so we got to run around in the trees.

Then it was time to get in the wagon to find our tree!

Then Mommy found our tree and it was time for a family picture.  We have a video that will be up later and how this picture happened, but just picture upset kids and one going in another direction!

Then we had to do it again when Grandma and Grandpa found their tree.

Then it was time to go back home for a nap and snacks.  After that, it was time to decorate the tree.  Alex didn't think it was weird having a tree in the house, but I wasn't so sure.  It took me a while to realize that it's okay, and took a few minutes to go near it.

We helped Grandma get the decorations out and to make sure the lights still worked before we put them on the tree.  We also helped move the storage bins around the room.

Then everyone started putting these things on the tree, Mommy called them ornaments and tried to get us to put them on the tree.

Then we took another nap, or actually Alex took a nap, and I sat with Grandpa fo rsome quiet time.  Then we just got to play until pajama time.  We also made sure the stockings were hung with care.

And look at what Grandma let us do!  We have a video of this too.  She remembered how she used to climb over the rocking chair and showed us how to do it.
