New Ride

Daddy's started giving us piggy back rides!!  If we stand behind him and put our arms up, he grabs them and leans forward and takes us all over, then when we get by the couch he tosses us off!  This is a lot of fun, except sometimes Alex likes to get off during the middle of the ride.

Rain Jackets

It rained a couple of weeks ago and since we still had to go grocery shopping, Mommy got out our new rain jackets! Here's a couple of pics from after we got home.

Mommy says we look like little boys now! I guess we're growing up too fast for her!

Swimming in the Bathtub

Last week Mommy was getting ready for work and was letting us play in the bathroom like we usually do. Mommy said that she was trying to get to work early since she'd had to call in sick a couple of times to take care of us. We were playing with the shower curtain, like we usually do, but one of us dropped bottle of whiteout into the bathtub. Normally not a big deal, but because all of Mommy's hair goes down the drain, the tub doesn't drain that fast right now. So we decided to get in and get the bottle of whiteout. We did this really quiet because when Mommy came and pulled the shower back, this is what she found.

At least Jacob got his bottle of whiteout! And when Mommy got to work and emailed Daddy that we can climb into the bathtub now, he replied with "Oh yeah, they did that this week."
Oddly enough, the bathroom door is shut now while Mommy gets ready!

Oddball August Pictures

You know it's been awhile when your grandma tells you that you haven't updated the blog! We've been busy, Mommy had a birthday and a surprise party, then we got sick (ear infections on top of colds and fevers, yay). But after 9 days, and 2 doctor visits (for Jacob, this cold is kicking his little butt) we're on the mend and back to blogging.

Here's Jacob climbing again! Later he pushed it closer to the wall to try to get to the counter but Daddy stopped him.

We get excited when we see our ducks, we know that we're going swimming. But before we do, we have to drag them all over the house to make sure they're ready to be used.

Jacob likes to have things in his hands. Spatulas, toys, cell phones, shoes, whatever it is, both hands need to be holding something.

Jacob also likes to cover his head with his blankie and walk around. I do this too, and you'd probably be surprised to know that we actually don't run into anything while our heads are covered. I did run into the wall once.

Here we are playing with the laundry basket again. You can just see us thinking "Really Mommy, another picture?!"

Here I am reading my book.

We got this shelf to use as a bookcase in our room, but Daddy took out the shelves to see if we'd go in it. Of course we did!

This is a new game we play. Daddy moves us all over with the A's blanket. And when he gets it out, we go right over and sit on it, ready to go!

Here's my morning hair! Mommy had to get a picture since it was sticking straight up.

That's all for now! Hopefully we'll have recovered and be back to our regularly scheduled blogging next week.

New Park

We found a new park to go to. This one we have to drive too, but it's got more swings and slides than the one at home. And it's also in the shade more. Here's the pictures, enjoy!

Jacob likes the slides now. He'll even go down without Mommy or Daddy helping him.

There he goes!

I like to go head first! No help needed, thank you very much, I figured this out on my own!

Just imagine me laughing the entire way down. Mommy said she got it on video, so maybe it'll make it's way to the blog one day.

This park also has these things (not sure what to call them) but they're fun! There's also a teeter totter, except we like to climb in the middle of it!

"Mommy, I want to go down the slide again."

Cell Phones

Since we're very popular, Mommy and Daddy got us cell phones! Just kidding! They actually found their old ones that they don't use any more and they're now are new toys.

I like pushing the buttons, but I give it to Mommy when I want the phone opened! I also put it up to my ear like I see Daddy do and say "Hello!".

These have quickly become Jacob's new favorite toy! And he has to have one in each hand. He got tired of waiting for Mommy to open his and figured it out himself. One day he took it to Grandma and Grandpa's with him. They told Mommy how he ate breakfast and lunch with it. And took his nap with it in his hand.

Later after that, he went to bed with it. We even put one of them into the bathtub with us.
Mommy finds them after we've lost them. They were behind the sofa once, and in the towel drawer in the kitchen.

We love cell phones!

Big Boys

One morning Mommy and Daddy got tired of holding us to show us what they were doing so they put us on the chairs without our seats to see what we would do.

I just wanted to read my book.

Alex just was happy to sit somewhere new! Except that after 2 minutes he got onto the table and laughing since we was so proud of himself!

Naptime

Just a picture to enjoy.

Microwave

Guess what we can reach now!! The microwave! And we're also able to put things in there too. It's mostly me, Alex just likes to open and close it. Daddy made Mommy some nachos and didn't look and when it beeped and he opened the door inside were the nachos and and plastic cup with a ball inside. Mommy opened it once and found a purple bouncy ball in there.

Mommy took out 2 cars, 1 plastic cup, 1 bath wash bottle (that we brought out from the bathroom) and about 9 Glad plastic lids.

At least we still haven't figured out how to open the fridge or oven! Maybe next week!

Piano Man

I like to play with my piano. I also take it all over the house. These are a couple of pictures from the other night while I was playing my piano. The white thing around my neck is my "blankie". Alex has one too, they go where we go (inside the house, Mommy says that they don't go outside, unless we spend the night somewhere). Daddy called me Elton John when I had it around my neck. I wonder who Elton John is?

I got rid of my blankie and put my feet up, you know, to relax a little.

Then my butt slid off and I got stuck. Whoops! Playing the piano is hard work sometimes.

Train Town

Mommy and Daddy had a 3 day weekend, so after relaxing on Saturday we went to Traintown on Sunday!! And even better, since we're still 15 months old, we were free!

Here's picture of the train we rode. It takes you around and then stops in a little petting zoo and then drops you back off. There's even some rides like a merry-go-round, Ferris wheel and a kiddy roller coaster, but we're still not tall enough, so maybe next year.

Here we are, waiting for the train.

This is my impression of Grandpa's "Dumb Look"!

But look at my expression when the train started moving!

Mommy and a concerned looking Jacob. This was his expression for the whole ride.

Me and Daddy! I wanted to look around and not at the camera. There were trees, ducks, ponds and tunnels.

We both wanted Mommy!

And of course after the ride we got to explore the area. Jacob climbed the picnic table but this made Daddy nervous, so we left that area.

Jacob playing with the wheel.

We both like to shut doors, so this was Jacob trying to shut the door on Mommy (a common occurrence in our house these days.)

There were a lot of people so we left to go to the plaza to eat lunch.

We've discovered Pringles!! And we recognize the can! There was one at home and Mommy thought she had hid it up high, but we saw it and pointed to it until she got it down.

I found a stick, I know, big surprise! I also managed to hit Mommy in the hid with this stick.

There was a playground, but we didn't stay long. Too many people, and the slides were in the sun and they were too hot for us to go down.

We stopped at Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner. Uncle Sean's friend Allison came, along with GG and Pappa. Jacob wanted to try to sit in a big chair.

Then we went outside and played in the sandbox. Mommy and Allison tried to get pictures of Jacob with the funnel on his head.

I like to get the sand all over myself.

I went over the side of the chair from the step. I think I surprised Mommy by not crying. My shoe even came off once Mommy helped me change positions.

Then we went back inside to play with our cars.

There's no more pictures because we got really, really, really fussy and wouldn't whining or crying for next 2 hours or more!!
