Beach Trip

We went to the beach this weekend. We went with Mommy, Daddy, Nanay, Nice and Maya. Mommy and Daddy timed it so we'd take our nap in the car on the way there. When we got there, we put the blanket down and then when to the water. I loved the water!! Jacob, not so much. He cried when the water got him. I hung out with Nanay most of the time, while Jacob wouldn't let go of Mommy when he was near the water.

Here's a couple of pictures of me with Nanay.

Here's a couple of pictures of when Jacob was with Nanay. Mommy was there to take pictures of him crying!

Here's where Jacob usually was, just with Mommy and watching what everyone else was doing.

Then we got to play in the sand!! The weird part was, Mommy and Daddy didn't care that we got dirty. And of course, we had to wear our hats and we had to put on sunscreen!

I really got into the sand, and Nanay helped me cover my legs. That's Maya next to me, she was showing us how to dig in the sand.

Jacob ate some chips. He was fine, as long as he was away from the water.

Here's Jacob with Nice. She's the lady who watches us a couple of days a week.

I got sand all over. There's even some on my face and in my ears.
Here's the one picture of us together! Jacob liked the sand too. And he eventually warmed up to the water, just as long as it wasn't past his ankles!

New Videos

Here's a couple of new videos to enjoy!

The first one is of Jacob playing in the sprinkler. If you listen you can hear me pushing the wagon in the background.

The next one is of me pushing Jacob in the little wagon. You can hear Jacob say "Bye" in this video.

And the last one is of us playing in the living room. Jacob is waving his arms around, and near the end you can hear me say "Uh Oh" a couple of times.

Oops

The following isn't the best picture of me. But the story is that Alex and I were fighting over a glass that Mommy was helping us drink out of. After she was done, we started to fight over the glass, since Daddy thought he'd better take the real glass away from us, Mommy told him to let us have the plastic ones. He decided to see how we'd do if he put water in them. As the pictures show, not that well. Although I did do better than Alex. He just out his mouth in the middle of the cup and Mommy heard the water splash on the kitchen floor while she was in the other room.

Here's Alex, still with his mouth in the middle of the glass!

As Mommy fills up the bath tub, we like to go and watch her put the toys in. Well, now we've started to try to get the toys back out. Alex took head dive in and Mommy caught him by the back of his shirt. That explains why his head is all wet along with his shirt!

And on the positive side, he never cried, and turned around and tried to do it again!

Hats

We don't care for hats. Mommy makes us wear them, especially when it's cold. And we test her, but we do know that when we're outside the hat is to stay on. But as long as we're inside we'll take the hat off. She even tries to put them on us while we're in the stores, and we still take them off. She just shakes her head and laugh, so we know she's just playing with us.

While we were outside this weekend, she kept putting her A's hat on us to get some pictures.

Here's Alex, and this was snapped right before he took it off. Got to be quick with us to get the picture!

And another with the hat backwards!

Here's me, I was trying to walk at the same time, and Mommy and Daddy had to tag team with me. Daddy with the camera and Mommy with the hat.

That didn't take long! I handed the hat back Mommy and went about my day!

Father's Day

Here's a couple of pictures of us with Daddy. He's the best Daddy we could ask for! He plays with us, takes care of us, throws us around, tickles us, plays peek-a-boo, let's us crawl all over him, he rocks us to sleep (and sometimes he falls asleep too!). We love you Daddy!!!

Sprinklers!!

We went to Grandma and Grandpa's this weekend to help celebrate Father's Day. Mommy and Daddy took us over early so they could see us play in the sprinklers for the first time. They were quite sure what we would do, but I think they were pleasantly surprised! Jacob went right up the the new wild sprinkler that squirts water all over and just laughed!! I went up to it and started grabbing the hoses! I had on the green suit and Jacob was in the yellow (which Daddy pointed out later that they looked like a Bee, but Mommy got them last year at Target for less than $3.00 total, so she said we were going to wear them!)

Then Grandma got out the other sprinkler and I decided to go over there.

I did, though, take part of the other sprinkler with me!

And even though the water was turned off for the other one (some thing about having to conserve the water?) Jacob was still over playing with the other sprinkler.

Daddy kept going over and turning the water off and then turning it back on so it went up really high and I got all wet, but I loved it and then I'd try to drink the water.

Jacob was still playing with the other sprinkler!
Then Mommy decided we needed a little break, but took this picture of Jacob all wet!

So we played with the wagon. Actually I was pushing it and when no one was looking Jacob climbed in. Boy Mommy and Daddy sure were surprised! Grandma and Grandpa told them that we do that all the time!
Then Jacob came with me to my sprinkler and we got to play some more.

Then it got a little cold and Mommy said we should go back in! We voiced our opinion to her, but she just went ahead and changed our clothes. She must have known that we'd both fall asleep from all the running around!
We hear that we're going to go back this Sunday, especially since it's going to be in the 90's here! And Uncle Sean had to go back to work, so we don't see him as much as we'd like, so we want to go see him on his day off! He's soooooooo much fun! He makes us laugh and throws up in the air!
And there's some videos from the weekend that we're going to put up soon!

Fruits

Mommy and Daddy have been experimenting with fruits to see which ones we like. So far, Jacob likes all of them! I like them during the day, and defiantly not after dinner. Mommy slices up bananas for us and Jacob stuffs the whole thing in his mouth then he smiles at Mommy!

This is me trying out some peaches.

And here's Jacob trying out some mango!

And we also like lemon! Mommy and Daddy don't understand it, but when we go to restaurants and the lemon comes in their water, they let us suck on it and we LIKE it.

More fun at the park

We went to the park again. Now that we're walking, we're able to move around a lot more. Mommy brought the camera, so here's some pictures, although I did hear her say that it's harder to get pictures now that we're walking and looking all over the place. We both like the swing, except for we can only get in one at a time now. I'm not so sure about that slide thing, while Alex LOVES it and couldn't get enough.

Here's Alex.

Here I am, I didn't stay in one spot for long.

Here I am, on the move again!

Mommy had to catch me under the bridge to get a picture since I kept looking the other way when she called my name.

Alex liked to hang out by the steps.

Mommy also caught us doing the same thing at the same time, although she couldn't get us in the same shot.

And, here's a picture of Boo Boo #2 for Alex. I was on one of the steps and Daddy brought Alex over and he thought Mommy had him since he was close to the edge, and when I started walking to the other edge, Daddy let go of Alex to get me, and Mommy didn't have a good grip on Alex, and when she took her hand off of his arm, he tried to sit down, except he was that close to the edge and fell 3 feet to the ground. So the other side of his head was a little scrapped up, and it turned a little purple later, but after crying for 10 minutes, he was fine.

Daredevil

About 3 months ago we had an assessment done to see if Alex and I were where we were supposed to be developmentally. And we passed both the 10 month and 12 month with flying colors. However at that appointment, the lady told Mommy that once we walked then the climbing would start. I think Mommy kind of believed her but also then forgot about it until recently. Last Friday, Daddy was watching us (YAY!!) and Mommy came home for lunch. Well, here's what I was while she was there. Enjoy!

And just when you thought sitting on the piano would be enough . . .

No, I never got to stand up on it. Daddy made me get off of it. Oh well, I'm sure I'll find something else to climb!

1st Boo Boo

Jacob and I had a contest going, who was going to get the first boo boo? The odds were pretty even, he likes to climb on things and I just learned to walk. Well, as of Thursday, June 4th, I won, (if you can call it winning).

Yes, that is my head. It met the coffee table. Apparently when you have just learned to walk, you shouldn't be laughing at your daddy and trying to walk over a poofy pillow near a coffee table. And according to Mommy, it didn't even sound like I hit the table. And what you don't see the picture is the huge bump that appeared within seconds of meeting the coffee table. Or the bruise that came with it a hour later.
The upside is that the next day we went to Grandma & Grandpa's house. And to make me feel better, Grandma put a Band-Aid on my boo boo.
See, here I am with my Band-Aid, all better, thanks to Grandma!!

Helping

Mommy and Daddy have another use for our stroller other than using it for us. After we go shopping they like to see how much they can get on the stroller handles and around us. This picture doesn't show the 3 or 4 bags that are usually hanging from the handles. Good news for us though, now that we're out of the car seats, means less places for them to pile things on us!

Doctor Update:

Alex weighs 24 lbs, 1 ounce and is 30 inches tall.

I weigh 24 lbs, 11 ounces and also 30 inches tall.

We're also able to start milk and a little juice, and more finger food! The doctor wants us off the bottles in 3 months, but we heard Mommy say once we're done with the formula, we're done with bottles. We think she just wants her counter space back after the past year!

We also got 2 shots each, and we did not like them AT ALL! A different nurse did them this time and he was a little slower than the usual nurse. Oh well, Mommy says we don't have to go back for 3 months. Cool.
