Party Pics - Round 2

As promised, here are some more pictures from the party.
The next couple of pictures is from before the party, Grandpa and Uncle Sean were playing with us on the lawn. Grandpa blows bubbles for us since we like to watch them pop.

Here's Alex with the first present we opened, a Little People's Animal Farm. It took Mommy a little while to figure out where to put the batteries, but now it makes animal sounds when we play with it.

I got into the whole opening gifts thing. I liked the boxes better!

Here we are with our cake as people sang Happy Birthday.

Here we are with our new wagon from Grandma and Grandpa! This is so cool! Now Grandpa can take both of us up the hill to get the mail. And we're going to use it when we go to the fair this year. That will be easier than using the stroller. Grandpa likes to take us around the house.
Then we got to take the wagon outside! Except for Mommy forgot to do the strap that goes between our legs so when Grandpa took me by myself, I came back slouching in my seat since I was slipping.
Then we played with our other toys.

Then Uncle Sean played with me! When he lifted me up, I could see myself in his sunglasses!

Then Alex got to sit with Grandma, and play with the balloons.

We got to watch Grandpa start the charcoal for the BBQ!

That should be the end of the pictures from the party!

Party Pics - Round 1

Yay, here are some of the party pics. This is just how the day went, later (probably tomorrow), we'll post more of the party pictures.

We've learned to hug people, so here here I am hugging Missy while Jacob just watches. Sometimes we hug her together. Mommy usually stops us and says something about Missy being old, and we need to be careful, but Missy doesn't seem to mind.

Then I played basketball with my ambulance car. Have I told you how I learned to cheat this toy? There's a switch in the basket part and if you keep pressing it, the numbers on the front change. Daddy says that I'm smart and it must come from him.

Then we left that way we could eat breakfast at Grandma and Grandpa's. Then Mommy could decorate and we'd be able to nap. On the way there, I fell asleep in the new car seat.

Mommy tired to get pictures of us inside, but we weren't staying still, so she put us on the grass since we stay in one spot there. She always makes sure to get us separately and then together.

Here's Jacob.

Then us together! At this point people started to arrive so we had to go back inside for the party.

Here's one of our new toys. Jacob pushed me around with Rocky the Raccoon. Once he was done, I pushed it all over during the party.

Then we had to get our picture with Mommy and Daddy before we ate lunch.

Then we opened presents and everyone sang Happy Birthday to us. (Mommy forgot to put the pictures of those events on this computer for us, so they'll be here tomorrow.)
Then we got to have our own cakes Mommy made for us. Jacob wasn't so sure about it, and only played with the frosting. I smashed the cake and smeared it around, but none of it made it to my mouth.
Me with my mess!

This is pretty much all Jacob did.

Then we napped and people left. Afterwards, we got to play out side with our new toys. I was climbing the steps, but once everyone started to get the cameras, I sat back down, much to their disappointment.

Jacob just liked to walk around!

On another note, I'm getting 2 more upper teeth, and Jacob's getting at least 1 more upper one. Mommy can see them (when we let her look in our mouths, I think she looks while we sleep) but they haven't come through yet. Tomorrow is our 1 year doctor's appointment, so I've heard something about getting cow's milk and people food. I think big things are ahead! We'll keep you updated!

New Trick

I know that you all were expecting to see the party pictures, but I had to show you what I did last night! Daddy took out our dirty diapers and left the front door open to see what we would do. Well, of course, Jacob and I went looking for Daddy! We only went about 4 feet before he came back. Then he let us play outside for a little bit. And here's what I did!

Those are the cement stairs that go to the condo above us! I climbed up them!

Here's Jacob down below!

Here's where I ended up before Mommy said it was time to come in!

Party pictures are coming!

WE'RE ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to US!!! We're ONE!! Mommy even took the day off to celebrate with us. It was a ordinary morning, diaper change, breakfast, play, sippy cup, and nap. After nap time though it all changed. Mommy told us that she was making frosting for our cakes. Then she found us and she had these weird things in her hands but there was something on it.

I let Alex try it first. I was farther away but once I saw him eating something, I knew I had to get on in the action. And I know that Mommy tries to keep it fair, if he got a bite, I was sure to get one.

I was right! That was good stuff. We were new to the whole "beater" thing (that's what Mommy called it) so she put a little on some spoons and we ate it that way. Yummy stuff!

After the sugar, we played with our old car seats. The new ones were put in the car and the old ones were brought into the house.

Daddy decided to videotape us and Alex liked seeing himself on the video camera and was there looking at it for a long time. Daddy even showed how he could see himself in the little window.

Then we got some new toys from Mommy and Daddy. A lawnmower and a ride on Giraffe. Although Alex gets mad at the lawnmower since he's not used to how it works, he does like to walk with the giraffe! He also uses his finger to examine the nostrils!

Our first of many collisions!

Then it was time for us to go to Costco to pick us some food and our birthday cake! Which meant the first time facing forward in our new seats! Here's Alex.

Then myself. We weren't too sure about what was going on, and we could see new things. I like to watch Daddy drive. Alex likes to look out the window.

More pictures to come from the birthday party!

Alex Last Night

Last night was American Idol's finale. I've been cranky the last 3 nights for Mommy and Daddy. Just the usual things, ear piercing scream, arching of the back, not wanting the bottle or teething ring thing. So in their frustration, they've just been putting me on the floor to let me do what I want.

This is me watching the beginning of the show.
And this is me 10 minutes later. And yes, I'm asleep.

I guess Mommy and Daddy will just have to do whatever works with me!

Whoopsies

Mommy was at work when Daddy picked us up and brought us home from Nice's house (she watches us while Daddy tries to work from home now). Well we found the new box of diapers and formula in the living room so we figured out that we're able to climb on the diaper box. Alex went first, then after he head dived off of it, I took my turn.

Daddy took pictures to show Mommy when she got home. These are what she saw.

Notice how Alex is sitting the formula?

Overconfidence is never good.

It looks worse than it actually was. I didn't cry and I kind of went down in slow motion and didn't hit my head that hard. I was more shocked than hurt. And if I was screaming, I'm sure Daddy wouldn't have been taking pictures. I hope.

May Pictures of Alex

I just wanted to share some pictures with you that are just me all by myself. Sometimes, I just like to do things on my own. Jacob sometimes has to be doing the same thing I want to do, and he usually pushes me over. At least if I'm upset he will come over and try to make me feel better. (But you won't find me returning the favor!)

This was in the grass at Great-Grandpa and GG's house. I still wasn't that used to the grass yet, but Mommy likes the expression on my face.

I was excited to try to use my new fork and spoon, but instead of putting them in my mouth I liked to put them up in the air.

This what my hair looks like in the mornings now. I think I may need a hair cut soon, it's getting long in the back and hangs over my ears.

Daddy gave me a cape. Yes I can stand on my own, yes I can take a couple of steps, no, I'm not walking yet. I can get places faster by crawling, why walk?

We were home with Daddy and I didn't want to sit on his lap to fall asleep like I usually do, so he let me play on the floor while Jacob sat with him. When he realized that it was quiet, he looked down and this is how he found me.

That's all for now, Mommy says it's Jacob's turn!

May Pictures of Jacob

Yay, a post all about ME!!! I like to get all of the attention. I also get mad when Mommy's playing or holding Alex. And I let her know it by going over and pulling, hitting and whining to her. Then if she says "No", I start to cry with my really sad face on. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Now that I can walk, I've also discover that I can walk with things hanging out of my mouth. Usually it's the plastic keys we have, since they can make noise as I walk around.

I'm stuck, pretty much. Mommy saw me trying to get out, but took a picture instead. What makes it worse is that once she helped me get unstuck and moved me away from that area, I went back and got stuck again. Oy.

This is the face I make to get Mommy to laugh. Sometimes she makes the face to get me to laugh! Silly Mommy!

This is my new car seat once I have my birthday, but I wanted to play with it anyways. And notice how my lips are sticking out? That happens often!

I like this box lid. Now I can crawl on top and stand up. Mommy took the picture as I was clapping. I also like to pick up the lid and walk around with it.
